Interested in the concept of Crowdsourcing?

by Maddie Grant on November 25, 2008

Here’s two things you can do:

1) Participate in Associations Now’s crowdsourcing experiment for the May issue of the magazine. Submit your ideas now – final deadline is November 30. Then we get to vote!

2) Come hear Jeff Howe (the journalist who coined the term) keynote the ASAE Technology Conference. So excited!!

Thank you again for letting people know about our “Readers Pick the Stories” project, Maddie! And just so you know, we have an interview with Jeff Howe in the December issue of Associations Now–you should receive it right around the first of the month (and it will be up online then too). Jeff has a lot of interesting things to say about how nonprofits can benefit from taking a look at crowdsourcing.

(I also highly recommend his book–I read it on an airplane, and it was compelling enough to distract me from my usual fear of flying in tiny little planes. Which is a high recommendation indeed!)
