I get we always are going to have some element of control and compliance in the association world, and in many cases, for fairly good reasons. but we should let purpose be the driving control mechanism everywhere we can and let folks go crazy making contributions to advancing it ... on their terms and on their timetable. So much amazing talent would be unleashed in pursuit of share ambitions that would rock the community and create value much faster.
