Let’s all go SocialFishing…

by Maddie Grant on March 16, 2010

So you may have noticed something interesting happening over here on the SocialFishing blog. Yes, it’s official, every Wednesday is now TEAM SOCIALFISH GUEST BLOGGER DAY! Whoo hoo! And just to be clear, anyone that we work with who helps us do what we do for our association/nonprofit community can be part of Team SocialFish.

Now, we’re diligently working behind the scenes (with our fab developer Dave Sabol) to create a “proper” Team SocialFish blog author page that will show off properly what each of these cool folks are all about, but in the meantime, here’s a quick rundown of who they are and what you can expect to see from them each month.

Maggie McGary is the online community & socmed manager for the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and her awesomely snarky (‘cuz we love that about her) blog is Mizz Information. Her monthly post gives us an insiders’ view from the trenches. Her first Guest Blog Wednesday post was Curating Content for Social Media Outposts.

Jamie Notter is an Organizational Development consultant extraordinaire and also Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness at Management Solutions Plus, an AMC in Gaithersburg, MD. He blogs about leadership, culture, truth and all kinds of deep meaningful and awesome things at Get Me Jamie Notter. He’s written for us before, but his first official Guest Blog Wednesday post was Social Media, Organizational Culture, and Learning; his series is about the social organization.

Leslie White is the risk manager on Team SocialFish. She helps our clients draft social media policies and assess their risk comfort level; her series will be about risk and association social media. Her website is at www.croydonconsult.com, and her blog is Risky Chronicles. She’s also written some great stuff for us already and her first official post for this series is How to Be a Social Media Nuisance.

John Haydon helps nonprofits with social media. His awesome John Haydon.com blog has great tactical tips for associations and nonprofits and we’re honored that he is willing to share some here! His first post: Facebook Groups And Facebook Pages – Everything You Need To Know.

I know you’re going to love the regular stuff they come up with for us – we do! Don’t hesitate to talk to any of them about specific topics you’d like them to explore in their particular focus areas – they’ll be blogging here every Wednesday for the foreseeable future. Maggie’s up tomorrow – can’t wait!

Thank you Team SocialFish!
