Google Wave is back in business

by Maddie Grant on May 25, 2010

So apparently Google Wave is back in business (so to speak) and open to everyone. As most of you know who tried Wave back when it was all new and shiny, it was basically impossible to use because not enough people were on there – and those weird public waves we might have come across made no sense at all.

Here’s a nice little video from that Google Wave Blog post I linked to above which explains how groups can use Wave. Check out the examples they list of organizations using it too. The one I found most interesting was this example of using Wave for virtual conferences.

I am sure that associations can really get a lot out of this tool now that everyone can get on it. Just sign up at wave.google.com. My Wave address is madsgrant [at] googlewave.com and Lindy’s is mjdreyer [at] googlewave.com if you want to connect with us right away and find more people.

Have you used Wave already? Let us know what kinds of things you’re using it for and how it’s working for you.
