Upcoming social media events in DC

Not one, but two events that I’d love to attend are just around the corner–The Social Graph Clinic DC, and What’s Next DC. This event has an executive feel to it. It’s by the people who published the 2010 Digital IQ Index for the Public Sector that we covered on this blog. Looking at the speakers, I’d love to hear from Stephanie Schierholz, the social media manager for NASA–what a cool job! Also speaking are Adam Conner, the associate manager for privacy & global public policy at Facebook (can you say hot seat?) and Joe Rospars, founding partner & creative director at Blue State Digital who famously served as Obama’s new media director during the 2008 campaign.

This event has more of a marcomm angle, and you’ll see many of DC’s most dedicated social media geeks there (including Maddie and me.) I’m also interested in the format, because it looks like there are a bunch of 25-minute and 15-minute time slots. Should be interesting. I’m excited to hear from Brian Halligan, CEO & founder of Hubspot, Anand Chopra-McGowan, senior brand alchemist at SCVNGR, and Tammy Gordan, senior advisor at AARP.
