Have you marked your calendar – November 9 – for Give2TheMax Day?
Here are just a few MORE of the nonprofits you can help in this massive one-day regional fundraising effort.
“Dreams For Kids empowers at-risk youth and those with disabilities through dynamic leadership programs and life-changing activities that inspires them to fearlessly pursue their dreams and compassionately change the world.”
“Every day, through programs nationwide, Boys Town reaches out to help children and heal families who are most in need. We lift them up, heal their emotional, physical and spiritual wounds and put them on paths to brighter futures. We have an unwavering belief in the positive potential that exists in every child and 90 years of experience, skill and knowledge developing youth and family services that provide lasting, life-changing results.”
“Founded in the late 1960s by community leaders and youth to serve immigrant Latino youth, the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) has grown from a small grassroots recreation center to a nationally recognized multi-cultural, multi-service agency serving over 4,000 low-income youth across the District of Columbia and in Maryland’s Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties.
LAYC’s mission is “to support youth and their families to live, work, and study with dignity, hope, and joy.” To achieve that mission, LAYC operates a regional network of youth centers, school-based sites, and public charter schools that offer high quality, multilingual, culturally sensitive programs to support academic achievement, promote healthy behaviors, and guide youth toward successful adulthood. LAYC also conducts advocacy and public policy work to broaden opportunities for youth.”
Do you have a favorite local nonprofit that helps provide services to enable young people to thrive? TELL THEM ABOUT GIVE2THEMAX DAY and tell them to register and spread the word. It’s completely free, and they will keep their new fundraising profile page forever. We’re hoping to raise millions of dollars for local DC/MD/VA nonprofits – help us get them on the roster.
