Two ways to get social at #AUDC13

I’m super excited to head off to AUDC, Avectra’s Users and Developers Conference in Orlando on Sunday. Will you be there?  If so please stop by – I’ll be doing two fishbowl sessions, one with Jamie Notter following his Keynote on Day Two, where we will have a great, powerpoint-less discussion on the topics of the day. Here are the session descriptions.

How to Apply Social to Membership and Marketing

Learn from your peers in this fishbowl session facilitated by Maddie Grant of SocialFish.  What tips and tricks can you share related to your membership and marketing social media campaigns?  What worked and what didn’t? How are you aligning your social media campaigns with your traditional marketing campaigns?  What are you measuring?  What tools are helping you track progress? Are you tracking and scoring influencers?  How do you know what content works best?  Come prepared to share your insights, and bring your nitty gritty social media questions that your peers might be able to help you solve in this open discussion.

Lead Your Way to a Social Organization

[for CEOs]

Join Maddie Grant and Jamie Notter, authors of Humanize: How People-Centric Organizations Succeed in a Social World, in this discussion for C-suite leaders.  Social media is changing how we lead and manage our organizations, not just how we market our products and services. What should your leadership role be in this new disruptive environment? As you move towards a more social organization, expect challenges in how your organization integrates social media into existing structures AND challenges to traditional leadership practices.  The authors will provide the results of a Social Media and Leadership survey they just conducted, as well as the Social CRM how-to paper on leading your organization to social success, and will facilitate a conversation with the group on how to make these ideas real.  Understand what role you can play to bring strategic business intelligence to your staff’s social media activities, and what forces are at play which are fundamentally changing how we manage our organizations.

This is one of my favorite conferences of the year – everyone is super engaged, the conversations are forward thinking and techy, and it’s a massive head and shoulders above the usual association conferences we drag ourselves to every year.  If you’re coming, drop me a line or a tweet, come to our sessions, and let’s talk social. Hope to see you there!
