Great roundup of reasons, Vipin. I’ve worked with a number of organizations on crowdfunding campaigns and I might add two other reasons these campaigns fail: unreasonable fundraising goals (usually way too ambitious) and failure to recruit a solid group of funders ready to commit to the campaign as well as commit to matching other donations.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of finding campaign ambassadors, as well, which you so aptly point out at the top of your blog post.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I have to agree wholeheartedly with the two reasons you’ve added. Ambition plus action is usually a solid equation for success, but the ratio of either has to be just right!
