I'm a marketing junkie. And I'm a total nerd for association work. I'm also a bit of a techie. That's quite a combo, right? In 2007, I went on a personal quest to find and share the most effective marketing techniques that can be applied to membership organizations. Then something funny happened. The more I studied marketing for membership organizations, the more I realized that the biggest opportunities for associations, non-profits and small businesses are being enabled by technology...and most organizations are missing out! Turns out that I have just the skill set to help, with more than 10 years of experience in marketing using both traditional and new media.

Yesterday, Maddie and I presented a webinar all about overcoming common social media fears that associations face. Sometimes, the best way to fight the fear of implementing social media is to use the fear of not implementing social media. So the presentation used a fear/counterfear format.
