The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has launched the application process for the new Community Engagement Fellows Program, which will provide professional development for engagement experts in the scientific community. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, October 16.
You may remember the survey AAAS ran in connection with the fellowship program to begin to understand what community management in science looks like. They’ve published a series of blog posts about the survey results and will be releasing a complete report soon.
AAAS is seeking two types of applicants for the fellowship: current scientific community managers, and individuals looking to enter the field and be placed in an organization. Their Become a Fellow pagedescribes what’s expected of Fellows during the program, and lists the eligibility and selection criteria for each of these options.
